Members and guests of K9 Corps Agility enjoyed a lovely weekend at Bittersweet Farm in Pickett, WI for our first trial of the year. The surroundings were clean and comfortable (indoor and insulated with patio heaters in the crating area), delicious lunch was provided by the Fox Valley Pony Club, and our judge, Karl Schulzki from Thunder Bay, ON brought us plenty of fun and fast courses along with his signature “can do” spirit!

Congratulations are in order for several participants who passed nice milestones at this trial:

Lexy Schaible and May Zee from Eagan, MN surpassed 1,000 Lifetime Points with their final run of the weekend.
Pat Heidel and Cutter from Omro, WI earned their Outstanding Novice Agility Champion and Novice Hoopers titles
Jennifer Mahoney and Trapper from Green Bay, WI completed their Novice Jumpers title.
Stacey May with Willow from Neenah, WI earned their Novice Barrelers title.
and Jeff Riedl and ‘Rita successfully completed another Distance Challenge run, completing their qualifications for Starter Stakes at this year’s Championships in Springfield, OH.

There were dozens of beautiful runs which all showed the wonderful progress made with teamwork over the winter. All who participated should be proud of how well they are “coming together” with their canine partners.

The K9 Corps Agility “Home Opener” at Dogwood Acres is now open, the premium is published on the K9 Corps website and at NADAC.COM for May 3 – 5. Those who enter early receive a nice discount on their entry fees. We hope you will join us for the fun, the positive and relaxed environment, and of course – for the food … there’s always plenty of that at our events!
