First served at our September, 2019 trial “Thanksgiving Pot Luck”

Serves 12


1 18 ounce  box cake mix without pudding
1 3 1/2  box instant pudding
1/2 cup rum
4 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup cold water

1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup warm water
1/2 cup rum
1 cup sugar


Preheat oven to 325° .
Mix first six ingredients until moist.  Coat a bundt pan with cooking spray.  Pour cake mixture in pan.  Bake 50-60 minutes. Or use a 9×13 cake pan a and bake for 30-45 minutes.
Make glaze – In a small pan, boil the butter, 1/4 cup water and sugar for 5 minutes stirring constantly.  Remove from heat and add rum.  Drizzle over warm cake.  It looks like a lot of glaze, but keep drizzling!


If you use the 9×13 pan, use a fork to poke holes all over the top before glazing.
Use any combo of cake & rum flavors that you like.
