Well it seems that the slogan for 2016 at K9 Corps Agility is “Where NATCHs come in Batches”. Our June Trial, aptly titled The Big One, brought more dogs to the property than any previous event we have hosted, more Q’s, more New Titles, more smiles, and two more NATCH awards to a couple of our “usual suspects”!

VNATCH2-MelbourneCongratulations go out to Maureen Linhardt and Melbourne for earning yet another prestigious NATCh award (this time, Versatility NATCh 2) under our judge for the weekend, Pat Daggett. It’s always a pleasure to have Maureen and Marc at our trials … Melbourne now holds the distinction of earning more NATCh awards at K9 Corps Agility trials than any other dog in club history. What a team!

Also earning a Versatility NATCH on Sunday was Cheryl Carter and Magick (they got away before we could get a picture), with their first Touch N Go run of the day, which scored the team Versatility NATCh #4!  Just to be sure, they also Q’d on the second run of the day, with an even BETTER time.  Cheryl and Magick have grown together as such a wonderful team in parallel to K9 Corps Agility’s growth as a club.  Congratulations Cheryl & Magick – thanks for being such a consistent part of our trials!

Beyond the NATCh awards, there were a multitude of other reasons to celebrate.  Dogs who made weave pole entrances who had struggled to do so in the past, first Q’s, perfect contact weekends, and start line stays that never seemed to materialize in the past.  Congratulations to all – whether there was a ribbon attached to your personal victory or not!  We also made new friends from both near and far – everyone on the property “fit in” so nicely, we hope each and every one of you is back to make our future trials just as much fun!

Rin_HIT0616-webThen there were the High in Trial winners. You’re looking at the High in Trial winner for Novice, Trin who is owned and entertainingly handled by Amy Hannemann, along with all his Qualifying, Placement, and New Title Ribbons totaling 150 Q Points for the weekend!  You can take a look at the full High in Trial report here.

Thanks to all who volunteered their time and energy to make this event a smooth running and fun-filled three-day weekend.  We look forward to even more fun and exciting runs at our Summer Spectacular July 21 – 24.  Online entries for our next trial are now being accepted via Click-2-Run on the K9 Corps Agility website, http://K9corps.club.
